Graduated from Telecom Bretagne (formerly Higher National School of Telecommunications of Brittany "École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications de Bretagne- ENSTB") in 2001, Yann Fouassier began his career as an engineer in embedded systems, within a large American company of mobile telephony, with the main activities of software development of the protocol layers of radio resource management for GSM, UMTS and LTE standards.

In 2013, Yann Fouassier joined another American giant, semiconductor manufacturer, for which he participated in the integration of software systems for processors intended for products of consumer telecommunications products (mobile phone, tablet, connected objects, etc.).

After having acquired strong scientific expertise in the fields of telecommunications and embedded systems, he joined the IPSIDE firm in 2016 and has since been involved in all the issues related to the acquisition, the valuation and the defence of patents for clients in the automotive, telecommunications and space industries. He also participates, within the framework of the IPEC ("International Patent Evaluation Consortium"), to assessments of essentiality of patents, notably in relation to the standards of mobile telephony.
